A Trip Through Time and Space

In March the Explorers visited the National Museum of the United States Air Force outside of Dayton, Ohio, to learn about the early days of the manned space program and the ways—and reasons—that astronauts landed on the moon.

A Celestial Soiree

In late May 2012 the Explorers gathered for an evening of stargazing and viewing through a telescope. Several celestial objects were putting on a show, including the moon and the planets Venus and Saturn.

Strolling Through the Solar System

On a beautiful sunny day, the Explorers took a stroll nearly to the edge of the solar system. And back.

Out of This World

In February 2010 the Explorers learned about the early days of the United States manned space program and the motivations and efforts that led to the moon landings.

Cloudgazing—err, stargazing

On October 29, 2009, the Explorers met for an evening of checking out the moon with a telescope. Unfortunately clouds put a big damper on the views, but there were still a few glimpses to be seen.
