Blowin' In The Wind

The 2012-2013 school year started off with the newest group of Explorers investigating the properties of sound, using supplies as low-tech as they come: drinking straws.

Good Vibrations

The Explorers spent a session in November 2011 investigating sound waves and how they can be changed and manipulated to make music.

Any project that annoys your parents HAS to be good

The Explorers kicked off the 2010-2011 school year by making super-cheap musical instruments out of straws.

Twisted Sounds

“Durn it, this SHOULD work!”

Well, what can you say? Sometimes your science experiments just don’t turn out the way you expect them to, no matter HOW stubbornly you pursue them.

Making Waves

In November 2009, the Explorers investigated the nature of waves.
